How T Get My Rugged 2tb Lacie to Boot Up Again
I have a Lacie external 1tb usb 2.0 difficult drive. For years I had it connected to my mac and it worked find. unfortunately my mac crashed and I decided to get a pc. Now when I connected my Lacie external hard drive. It started with the download screen and and so disappeared. Now my reckoner can meet the blue shortcut button. and When I expect nether device managers I can run across information technology. I accept looked nether disk direction but I have admittedly no idea how to tell if it is connected or non. Please any assist would be appreceiated I have many years of pictures and school projects that I would like to go on. Thanks for the help.
Sorry but I forgot to mention the exact problem. The problem is that the Lacie Icon doesn't show upwardly then I cant access the data on the hard bulldoze. Thanks again.

Now when I connected my Lacie external difficult drive. Information technology started with the download screen and so disappeared. Now my computer tin can see the blue shortcut push button. and When I look under device managers I can come across it. I have looked nether disk management only I take admittedly no idea how to tell if it is connected or non. By happen risk I took another crack at the Disk Management and I noticed a bulldoze was missing. So I plugged in my Lacie external difficult drive and poof a new drive showed up. It was labeled:
Deejay one
Basic
465.64gb
online
and the other side lists the gigabits and says unallocated
The reason I know its this ane is because when I correct click on it and select backdrop it says its my Lcie external Hard Drive.
Now obviously my estimator tin encounter information technology but I have no idea how to access information technology. Could it have showed upwards in a part of my figurer I don't know about even so since the new release of Windows 10. And what exactly does unallocated hateful? Thank you for the help. Sorry nearly all the posts.

I'chiliad afraid I don't know what file format information technology was when I had the mac. I just plugged information technology in and the Lacie assistant setup wizard took care of the rest. But I recall in school saving files that would piece of work for both pc and mac since my schoolhouse had both computers and no two computer labs where the same.
Now I know I don't want to reformat considering sick loose the information on the bulldoze. Then if information technology was formatted for Mac does that mean I need to have it plugged into a mac in order to become access to the files information technology contains? Thank you for all the help.

At present I also merely tried my old Lacie Rugged external hardrive and I also used this for school. Mainly to bring my work from habitation to school and vice versa. And with it I plugged information technology into pc's and macs with no problems the Lacie Icon ever showed upward. Simply now information technology does the same thing equally my Lacie 1tb is doing. Thank you once again for the help.

This question/respond session is of particular concern. I have the aforementioned trouble and the salesman who sold me this new Surface Pro told me I would be able to access all my important files, on a Lacie drive which was MAC formatted.
I can not even encounter the drive. Please allow me know if a PC can now access mac formatted files such every bit that on the external drive I mention. I do not need to save back to this bulldoze, but I must admission all the files.
If a PC cannot yet access either format, I will need to render this PC and purchase a mac again.
